My first piece of fractal art, and seriously, I enjoy it!

Wow, that is really cool, how did you make it, if I may ask?

I used a fractal software named Apophysis, which is a type of software that renders mathematical equations into images, and Photoshop.

Basically, I made an image using Apophysis, then post-worked it on Photoshop.

no one's ever asked me for that! i wouldn't say i would do it though, mostly cause i can't remember how i exactly did it. :P
yet i can tell you a general idea of how it was done.
i used apophysis and photoshop, then i combined two fractals that fitted together. i also used a blending mode that i can't remember now since this was 3 years ago. i also played with the levels to get an attractive coloration and that was it.
trust me it won't take long till you get the hang of it. ;)

This is really amazing. The colors are wonderful and the (lack of) shape is fantastic. May I ask what programs you used to do this?
Wish the resolution was higher tough... Maybe you could try to upload a 1080p HD definition, people would love it (I know I would).

Sadly the original source file is gone. I may try to enlarge the image but it would not be as crisp as it is.
I used Apophysis and Photoshop.
And thanks for the comment ;)

Oh, that's a shame.
It can endure the upscale without a gigantic loss of quality, but it's indeed sad that it can't be that way "natively".
I'll try to check Apophysis out, had never heard of it before and it got me quite interested from what I just read about it. Thank you for the answer! :)

In any event, truly excellent work :D Congratulations!

I'm afraid I can't, sorry. :(
Try to crop it from the sides, I think this is the only solution to it.

Well I must resign then because the only possibilities to use it (after cropping) are:
- fill to desktop option - too much artefacts,
- center it - looks ugly because of edges cut.

But thank you for reply.
